Three Little Kittens
Story Basket

Three Little Kittens story basket is a fun interactive way to teach this delightful little rhyme to your children.

Story baskets are not only fun for kids, but fun for the adults as well.

These creative little activities allow your little one to stretch their imagination, put some fun play into their learning, and expand on many different skill sets as they play.

The Three Little Kittens story basket is a very easy one to assemble.

For our version, we found three little stuffed kittens, a basket, three pairs of newborn mittens and a picture of a delicious pie.

Most items for story baskets can be found around your home.  Kids toy boxes are a great place to start.

Since many of the Mother Goose nursery rhymes have animal characters in them, most little ones will have them represented in a soft cuddly toy.

If they come up short, they can always create characters out of construction paper and popsicle sticks.

After the fun of collecting and making the props for their story basket, they can now "act out" the rhyme.

This is where lots of fun and giggles can occur for all of you.

The fun is having your little one learn to recite the rhyme along with the story basket props.

Don't be surprised if they expound a bit on the actual verses.

That's perfectly OK!  The idea is to add fun to learning, all while allowing them to stretch their creativity and imaginations.

They can add verses or mix them up a bit, all in the name of learning!

If you give this idea of story baskets at try, please come back and share with us your special story.

We'd love to hear what rhyme or story you selected, how you and your little one went about assembling the props, and the results.

We'd really love to see one with video of your little one acting out their special rhyme or story.
