Puddlestream Street

If you ever go down to Puddlestream Street,

The people you find there will have very wet feet.

They might ask you in for some biscuits and tea,

But they'll first wet the teapot, just you wait and see.

Take old Missus Waters from number eleven,

She washes her doorstep every morning at seven.

And Mister Canard and his neighbor Miss Bain,

They're only happy when it's pouring down rain.

So Noah the plumber stays home with his cats,

Because nobody here worries about drippy taps.

Now if you ever go down there, don't you look silly,

By taking a brolly, or wearing your wellies.
